Pakistan seeks US nuclear deal

This is from Gulfnews.
This demand is not surprising although the U.S. is not likely to pay any attention to it. The stronger ties now between India and the US are just exacerbating relations between Pakistan and the U.S. However Pakistan receives considerable aid military and otherwise from the U.S. so it is unlikely to do much unless the political situation requires a stronger reaction. So far the reaction is mostly rhetorical and the US seems not to be paying the least attention.

Islamabad: Pakistan has said it has the right to demand a nuclear deal with the United States, following the rubber stamping of an agreement with India.
Reacting to the US Senate’s decision to approve the pact with India, prime minister Yousuf Raza Gilani said the deal means Pakistan now "has the right to demand a civil nuclear agreement with America."
The Prime Minister added that the move would ensure that there was "no discrimination."
However the US has yet to express a desire to strike a deal with Pakistan over civilian nuclear technology.
